Our daughter has had sleep issues for most of her life, partly due to medical reasons, but after we took away her pacifier and she went to a toddler bed, her sleep was worse than a newborns (she’s 3.5). So per another friend’s recommendation, we reached out to Alisha. She gave us clear and detailed instructions that were developmentally appropriate and fostered secure attachment. Her approach is gentle, understanding but structured. We needed someone to support us and Alisha did that and more. She thoughtfully followed up with us and encouraged us as parents. After sleeping all through the night my daughter excitedly told me “Mommy guess what? Sleeping isn’t scary anymore!” I highly recommend Alisha and Blissful Beginnings!

She talked me through different feeding options whether pumping, breastfeeding, formula, etc without ever passing any judgement. Not to mention, all of the food prep (her lactation bites are SO yummy)! We had a relatively smooth transition into parenthood and I truly see Alisha as a driving factor. “In short, Alisha is worth her weight in gold! She has been an invaluable addition to our family during these postpartum weeks with our first baby. Despite the uncertain timing of baby's arrival, Alisha made herself available to us for the first five nights. She was an immediate calming presence after we arrived home sleep-deprived and totally unsure what we were doing.

She assisted with breast feeding, prepared healthy food, helped with light laundry and dishes, shared newborn tips and tricks, and gently and lovingly supported us without judgment. Looking back now, Alisha helped our family create a solid foundation for baby's sleeping, eating, and communication cues. Along the way, she instilled so much confidence in us as new parents. She also developed a sweet bond with our baby that transcended just practical care taking.

Working with Alisha to welcome our son to the world helped my partner and me be truly present for these first few special months. Alisha was the heart of our little family for the first few months of our son's life. I'm not even sure where to start but Alisha quickly became more than just our nighttime help when our little guy was born but a friend and mentor in something she is clearly an expert in. She made me feel so comfortable and also confident in myself those first few months while putting me at ease that she truly cared for us and our family. She helped with everything from just cuddling and caring for a little guy, sleep training, laundry meal prep etc. she made our home feel cozy anytime she was here :). I truly thank Jesus all the time that Alisha was brought into our lives and just know we will remember her forever.

“I can’t recommend Alisha enough if you get the chance to hire her, you absolutely should, you’re lucky! She acted as a newborn care specialist/night nanny for us after a severe PPD/PPA diagnosis. I can honestly say she helped me become a mother. Knowing she was with our son while I was sleeping let me practice saying I’m doing the best I can right now because he’s safe with Alisha’ and gave my brain the rest it needed to get back to ‘normal’. She was always on time, incredibly gentle, caring, and loving towards our son, and always willing to go the extra mile to be helpful before leaving in the morning. Additionally, her experience and our discussions when she came each night helped me learn so much about our son, and she worked with him on improving his sleep habits (independent sleep for the win!). “I cannot begin to describe what a blessing Alisha was for my family! I’m a new twin mom that owns my own business (I didn’t get much time off when I had them). My twins Winsor and Sailor were in the NICU for the first 3 weeks they were born and once home I really needed an extra hand. Alisha was unbelievable and was a “night nanny” for me and stayed from 11PM-6AM so I could get some sleep as I was struggling with the sleep deprivation the most. She watched both twins no problem all while pregnant herself! She is always positive and brings a calming presence. She helped around the house with laundry/dishes and clean up. She was very educational and showed me SO many things. I didn’t know what I was doing and she was never pushy but would help me if I asked her opinion, otherwise, always respected the way I did things. I was leaving for a trip to the east coast with 8 week olds she helped pack the twins up and went above and beyond to make sure I knew how to make bottles while traveling and stopped on her way to grab me things. “Alisha is the ideal nanny. She is punctual, reliable, trustworthy, and above all great with kids! You can tell she truly cares for and enjoys spending time with our son. She goes the extra mile by planning fun and stimulating activities for him (he is 7 months old so that is not always easy!), and by helping out around the house when he is napping. I always feel good knowing that Alisha is caring for our son. We are going to miss her so much when he starts daycare. I cannot recommend Alisha highly enough!

“Wonderful Alisha was our nanny for 2.5 years. She nurtured and developed my son from a 3 months old baby to a rambunctious 2.5 year old and frequently also took care of my daughter (age 2-4 while Alisha was with us). We also participated in a nanny-share where Alisha would care for 3 children once a week, and 2 children another day. She is energetic, organized, dependable, disciplined (yet fun) and really committed to children's development (has completed related studies and puts into practice what she has learnt). During COVID she home schooled my daughter for several months (with my son), creating daily plans and structured lessons. She has become an important part of our family and we continue to see her and get occasional support with the kids (though they are both in pre-school now). Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her.”

“Alisha has been the sweetest, most loving nanny to our daughter and the other baby she nannies. She genuinely loves them and it shows both in the way that she looks at them and the way they look at her. My daughter RUNS to her when she walks in the door. Alisha has helped our daughter grow and overcome some minor delays in motor skills. She worked to learn the physical therapy exercises so that she could work with her during the day to help her improve more quickly. She also taught the babies sign language and works with them on their developmental milestones. She is great with both newborns and toddlers. Alisha has also been a huge help around the house, taking on extra duties while the babies nap. She unload the dishwasher or does a load of laundry if she has time, and has even done some meal prep for us. A huge lifesaver for a busy family but the little ones! I can’t say enough good things about the last year with Alisha as a part of our family! I highly recommend her!”
